Homon.in ("Platform", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.

By using Homon.in, you consent to the data practices described in this Policy. This Policy applies to all users including Customers, Marble Sellers, Ghar Saathi Experts, and Site Coordinators.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

a) Account Information

Name, email address, phone number, and password when you register on the Platform.

b) Marble Seller Listing Data

Business/seller name, marble & stone product details, pricing, images, videos, and city/location provided by Marble Sellers for their listings.

c) Booking and Quote Request Data

When you book a Ghar Saathi consultation, request a marble quote, or submit an NRI property services inquiry, we collect details such as your name, WhatsApp number, delivery/service city, area requirements, project stage, and any notes or queries you provide, so we can connect you with the right Marble Seller, Ghar Saathi Expert, or Site Coordinator and follow up on WhatsApp. We also track the number of marble quote requests associated with your account per month, to apply the free-quota and paid-quota system described on the Marble & Stone page.

d) Communication Data

Messages sent via contact forms and WhatsApp conversations initiated through the Platform. Note: actual payment transactions with Marble Sellers, Ghar Saathi Experts, or Site Coordinators/contractors are conducted directly between parties and are not processed or stored by Homon.in, except for Homon's own facilitation fees (e.g. marble quote top-ups or NRI package fees) where applicable.

e) Usage and Device Data

IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, time spent, and device identifiers collected automatically through standard web technologies.

f) Uploaded Media

Profile photos, marble product images/videos, or documents uploaded by users to our platform storage.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information for the following purposes:

To create and manage your account on the Platform.
To display Marble Seller listings to potential Customers.
To connect Customers with the relevant Marble Seller, Ghar Saathi Expert, or Site Coordinator, including sharing the details you provide with them (e.g. a Marble Seller sees the material/city preference for a quote, but never your phone number directly — Homon.in relays communication).
To send transactional communications such as booking confirmations, WhatsApp follow-ups, or account alerts.
To track marble quote usage against your account's monthly free/paid quota.
To improve the Platform experience and troubleshoot technical issues.
To comply with legal obligations under applicable Indian law.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Sharing

We may share your data in limited circumstances:

With other users: Your listing details (name, city, product info) are visible to Customers browsing the Platform. Your contact information is only shared when you explicitly consent or when a Customer submits an enquiry.
With service providers: We use third-party services such as Supabase (database hosting) and Vercel (web hosting). These providers are bound by their own privacy and data security policies.
As required by law: We may disclose information to law enforcement or government authorities when legally required under Indian law (IT Act 2000, DPDP Act 2023, etc.).

Homon.in does not share your personal data with advertisers or marketing agencies.

5. Cookies and Tracking

Homon.in uses browser cookies and local storage to maintain your login session and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, however this may affect functionality of certain parts of the Platform.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.

Listing data, enquiries, and uploaded content associated with an account may be retained in anonymized form for internal analytics.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data including encrypted storage, access controls, and secure HTTPS connections. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Homon.in is not liable for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to secure your login details.

8. Your Rights

Under applicable law, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
Request deletion of your account and personal data.
Withdraw consent for specific data processing activities.

9. Third-Party Platforms

Homon.in may contain links to external websites or services (e.g., payment pages, social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those platforms. We encourage you to read their respective privacy policies before sharing any information.

10. Children's Privacy

Homon.in is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided data to us, please contact us immediately for deletion.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
